Increased Tourism
Taking a ride on the V&T and visiting historic Virginia City, Carson City and Dayton will add to and produce many thousands of additional overnight stays in the Northern Nevada area.
$6.1 Million in estimated additional (non-Casino entertainment) tourism dollars from a maximum capacity of 140,000 rides per year.
Ongoing Economic Development
With nearly half of all visitors to the current V&T Railway participating in Casino Entertainment (Gaming), $7.1 Million annually is estimated from the increased Day Trippers and Overnight Visitors attacted by the V&T.
Short & Long term Job Creation
Approximately 885 full-time equivalent jobs and a total economic positive impact of $40.9 Million is expected just during the initial two-year construction phase of the project.
